QuickBooks Cleanup Service

QuickBooks Cleanup ServiceWho opens the file

The work is done by Steven Palmieri, a Tax CFO, with the month named before the return is prepared.

Meet the practice

Who opens the file

Some owners meet the file at the kitchen table after the shop is closed, a notice folded once and the laptop open to the month that will not tie. We like work that leaves room after that meeting. The month closes, and you still have the afternoon. The point of a close is that the rest of the day belongs to the company again, not to the file.

Steven Palmieri is who you meet, working as Tax CFO. People in this practice also call that role the Entrepreneur's CFO, since the books and the return stay with one group. The cleanup is the part of the work where the past gets honest. We find the rows that do not belong, we catch the waiting months up, and we prepare the return from books that match the bank. The statements after that are readable on purpose. You should be able to ask a question about a month without a glossary.

The practice publishes this site for owners who already know the file is the problem. You do not need a new vocabulary to arrive. You need the month you last trusted, or the courage to say you do not have one. We take it from there.

What we will not do is pretend a monthly close can sit on top of open books. If the file is open, the cleanup comes first or the engagement waits. That limit is also on the disclosures page, in the section about where the work stops. Read it. It is short, and it is the part people wish they had seen on someone else's website.

Attest work is not offered here. When a lender wants a signed audit, review, or compilation, that signature has to come from a firm that is allowed to give it. We say so at the start, and you leave with a direction. The books and the return are still here when you want them.

You will meet a person, not a rotating queue. The same practice that looks at the broken rows is the practice that prepares the return those rows feed. Questions do not get translated between teams. If Steven and his team are in the work, you hear one voice about what the file can support.

We would rather decline a file than take one we cannot see clearly. A file with no bank access, a year nobody will discuss, or a request to make a report match a number you already promised someone, is a file we will not start. You will hear the no quickly. That is also a service.

If you want the longer version of how the pages are written and what they refuse to sign, it lives on the disclosures page. This page is only the introduction. The work itself starts when you name a month.
